More about me

I’m Angelo Boutsalis — a Sydney-based photographer who enjoys exploring the balance between structure and spontaneity. My work often plays with symmetry, balance, and form, but I’m just as drawn to the moments where those rules fall away — when light bends, lines clash, or something imperfect makes an image feel alive.

This collection represents my personal photography — moments captured while travelling, observing, and learning to slow down. Many of these images were taken on family holidays or during quiet walks, when there’s finally time to create for myself.

Photography has always been part of my work — I teach it, design studios, and help others build creative spaces — but geli.photos is my way of reconnecting with the joy of simply making and sharing images again. “Geli” is the nickname my family use, and this site feels a little closer to who I am.

Beyond this personal work, I run two creative ventures:

  • Dragon Studio Solutions — specialising in the design and installation of studios for photography, video, and education.

  • Dragon EDU — helping schools and educators create hands-on learning environments that inspire creativity.

These projects all share a common thread: a love of design, light, and the spaces where creativity happens.

The images here are lightly compressed for web viewing, so they don’t always show the full texture, tone, or depth of the originals. Each photograph is printed from the full-resolution file on Canson Rag Photographique 310gsm paper — chosen for its luxurious feel, archival quality, and ability to bring subtle details to life. Prints are available on request.

If you’re curious about where a photo was taken or just want to talk about the work, feel free to reach out — I’m always happy to share more.
